Experiencing Home in Emigration

A lecture by analytical psychologist Elena Arie on the experience of home in emigration: how we change 'homes' throughout our lives, and how these losses and gains affect our identity and self-perception. You will learn what we lose and gain when changing country, language, and social ties; how the eternal story of moving places connects us with Odysseus, Adam, and Dorothy; how the map of where we live gradually becomes inhabited territory; why changing home in emigration becomes a stage and milestone of personal transformation. The lecture will be of interest to everyone living between cultures, languages, and worlds. Venue: 'Pridi v sebya', Dunavska 21. Date: June 20, starting at 16:00. Price: 1500 RSD.
