"Sense of Home" Laboratory

A laboratory about our ability to form a sense of home, carry it with us and "switch it on" in different places. Starting from a space with a very cozy, almost homely atmosphere, participants will create a sensory archive of home — recalling smells, sounds, tactile and visual sensations associated with home. Then they will discuss philosopher Gaston Bachelard and his attempts to describe places of home such as the attic, entrance door, cupboards and boxes as universal archetypal symbols, and finally reflect on what the process of "home-making" means for us now. Duration: approximately 1.5 hours. Registration is mandatory via @svetakondratyeva.
