KARTON School Open Day in Novi Sad

On 19 September the media education school KARTON opens its doors in Novi Sad and launches two tracks — blogging and film. The school works in Belgrade and now also in Novi Sad. The open day takes place at the antikafe «Приди в себя» at Дунавска 21, starts at 12:00 and runs until 15:00; the price is 800 dinars and a child attends free. The programme includes a gathering of guests at 12:00, a showreel of students' work and a children's podcast, at 12:15 a master class for children on shooting SHORTS on YouTube and a lecture by Masha Yablokova, "What to teach a child in the age of AI?" (in the first announcement it was titled "What to teach a child when it is unclear which professions will remain"), and at 13:30 questions and answers with the teachers, informal conversation and gifts. On the programmes children aged 9–12 learn critical and creative thinking, responsibility, teamwork and how to finish what they start; over the school year each student develops their own project — a YouTube channel or a short film. Classes are held once a week on Saturdays (a double lesson, 3 hours with a break) and cost 15 000 RSD per month; the price includes classes on the year-long programme, work on a personal project with a teacher, materials and equipment, and a final screening at graduation, with eight people in a group, and the schedule is put together around those who have already signed up.
