Balkan Food Festival in Belgrade

On Saturday and Sunday, 12–13 September 2026, the Balkan Food Festival takes place at Gornji Kalemegdan, Tašmajdanski park, and the Ribar fountain from 12:00 to midnight. Visitors can taste traditional Balkan dishes and rare regional specialties, including juicy pljeskavica, belmuž with cheese, domestic wines, and craft rakija. On Sunday, 13 September, from 12:00 to 15:00, there is an open workshop where chefs demonstrate how to properly stretch dough and prepare authentic Balkan burek. On Saturday, Red Cross volunteers will hold an open first-aid exercise by the Ribar fountain. At Gornji Kalemegdan, a weekend of culture and tradition includes free archaeological, artistic, and craft workshops, sports games, and knight fights. At Tašmajdanski park, the program includes children's plays, magician performances, and games with animators and mascots. Admission is free.
